Giuseppe Andreassi Museum (available only for the afternoon)

Located within the defensive walls of the ancient city, the Giuseppe Andreassi Museum provides visitors with material evidence of the times in which Egnatia was inhabited. Thanks to an expert guide, you will be accompanied on a journey that will lead you to the discovery of everyday objects, but also for the worship of the gods and the funerary practices of the past. Added to this is the section Egnatia and the sea, dedicated to underwater archaeological discoveries that will help to understand the deep link between the ancient city of Gnathia and the sea.

Path 2

Archaeological Park (available only for the morning)

Accompanied by an expert guide, you will be able to discover the archaeological site, which is one of the largest examples of a Roman and late antique city in Puglia! Starting from the city walls and walking along the Via Traiana you will be able to discover hidden corners and curiosities about the life of the population of the time and how it evolved during the thirty centuries in which the area was inhabited. From the domus to the places of worship to the necropolis, you will be accompanied on an intense journey that tells the story of Egnatia from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages.
